Questions worth asking any installer

  • Have you finished NRVTA Advanced Solar, or do you hold a NABCEP certification?
  • What wire gauge and fuse go between the charge controller and the battery? Compare it with your plan.
  • How do you seal roof penetrations, and how long is the labor warranty?
  • Will I get a written parts list and a labeled wiring diagram when you finish?
  • For a 24 V or 48 V bank: how do you keep 12 V loads like lights and the water pump running?
